Heading 1: Housing Assistance Programs Benton Housing Authority's mission is to provide housing assistance to low-income individuals and families in need. We offer two main programs: Low Rent Public Housing Apartments and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. Heading 2: Income-based Programs Our programs and rentals are income-based, meaning that eligibility requirements and restrictions are determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Heading 3: Waitlist and Availability Due to the high demand for housing assistance in our area, there may be a waiting list for both our apartments and vouchers. Please note that at times, these lists may temporarily close to new applicants. Heading 4: Contact for Assistance If you are in need of housing assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to the Housing Authority directly. Our dedicated team is available Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm to answer any questions and provide information about eligibility requirements, availability of assistance or rentals, as well as the current status of any waiting lists. Please be aware that we close for lunch from Noon to 1:00pm.
