As the rural areas and small cities of California evolve, our outreach and services also adapt to meet the needs of diverse communities. We cater to a wide range of clients, with specialized programs specifically designed for farmworker populations. Our clients include individuals with disabilities, immigrant populations, school children, lesbian/gay/bisexual and transgender populations, seniors, and individuals with limited English proficiency. Our Legal Services California Rural Legal Assistance offers comprehensive legal services that are shaped by the needs of our diverse client community. Through our state-wide network of 21 offices, our dedicated staff engages in litigation, outreach, and legal education to address the most pressing issues faced by low-income communities. These issues encompass housing, employment, education, workplace safety, discrimination, income maintenance, and healthcare access. Innovative Programs and Special Initiatives To effectively tackle recurring, wide-spread problems observed in our individual client cases, California Rural Legal Assistance has developed several initiatives and programs. These strategic initiatives enable us to address complex and persistent issues in rural communities.
