About This Building

Finding Housing Options for Individuals & Families Preserving Affordable Housing in Morro Bay In the State, we made a significant impact by acquiring and safeguarding the Pacific View Apartments, a 26-unit complex. This marked a milestone as it became the first successful buyout of an "at risk" project under the Farmers Home Administration (FmHA). Our efforts prevented the displacement of low-income residents, some of whom had lived there since the building's construction in 1976. PSHH successfully intervened in 1991, preventing the resale and conversion of these apartments to market rate, which had been a recurring issue from 1977 to 1991. Important Factors to Consider Managing Waiting Lists It is crucial to understand that most low-income apartments have waiting lists, some of which can extend for years before you receive a call for an opening. To increase your chances, it is advisable to join multiple waiting lists. We provide phone numbers and websites for direct communication with the apartments. Reach out to them to inquire about current vacancies or open waiting lists. Determining Apartment Rates When it comes to apartment rates, we strive to offer current information on our listing pages. However, it's important to note that most HUD listings do not have published rates. Rather, they are based on 30% of the renter's adjustable gross income. To assess if you qualify for income-based rent, you'll need to contact the apartments directly. By organizing the text into different sections, we can provide a clear structure to convey the information effectively.
