Parsons Village: A Affordable Family Housing Property in Partnership with Way Finders Parsons Village, a housing development consisting of 38 units, was established by Valley Community Development Corp in collaboration with Way Finders and was completed in September 2015. The project received funding from various sources including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Affordable Housing Trust, Housing Stabilization Fund, permanent financing from Easthampton Savings Bank, TD Charitable Foundation Housing for Everyone Grant, and project-based Section 8 from DHCD. Waiting Lists: A Common Challenge One common challenge faced by individuals seeking low-income apartments is the existence of waiting lists. These lists can often take years to move through until individuals can be called for available units. To increase your chances, it is advisable to apply to multiple waiting lists. Direct Communication with Apartments To stay updated on available units or open waiting lists, it is recommended to directly contact the apartments of interest. We provide phone numbers and websites to assist you in reaching out to them. Apartment Rates: Income-Based Rent While we provide current apartment rates on many listing pages, it is important to note that most HUD listings do not have published rates. Instead, they are determined based on 30% of the renter's adjustable gross income. To determine if you qualify for income-based rent, it is necessary to contact the respective apartments.
