Accessible Housing for Disabled Individuals at MSAA Commons Income-Based Rent for Disabled Residents MSAA Commons, developed by the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, provides federally assisted housing for disabled individuals aged 18 and above. To qualify for residency, individuals must meet the income limits established by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and adhere to the occupancy policy set by the sponsor. Monthly rent is determined by a formula specified by HUD, based on the resident's income. Specially Designed Building for Mobility Impaired Individuals MSAA Commons is a unique two-story low rise building, constructed in 1994, catering exclusively to the needs of the mobility impaired population. Consisting of 24 units, this building was only the second of its kind in Southern New Jersey at the time. Each one-bedroom unit boasts a comfortable living room with an entry closet, a dining area/kitchen, a full bath equipped with a linen closet and a spacious roll-in shower, as well as a bedroom with an additional closet. For individuals seeking studio units, they feature a combined living room/sleeping area with two closets, a kitchen, a full bath with a linen closet, and a large roll-in shower. Furthermore, each unit is equipped with two emergency pull cords that directly connect to 911 services.
