Assisting Families in Finding Safe and Decent Homes The program aims to help eligible households in Saratoga County access decent, safe, and sanitary housing available in the private market. It provides financial assistance to eligible households, enabling them to rent or purchase suitable housing that meets their needs. Eligibility Requirements for the Program To be eligible for assistance, individuals must meet certain criteria. These include having a total annual gross income within set limits based on family size. Additionally, applicants must be either US citizens or fall under specified categories of non-citizens with eligible immigration status. It is important to note that these limits may be subject to change. Specific Criteria for Applicants Applicants must not only meet income requirements but also be either 55 years old or older and/or disabled. The Town of Wilton Section 8 Program VCHC also serves as the Public Housing Authority for the Town of Wilton's Section 8 Program. While applicants do not need to reside in the Town of Wilton at the time of application, they must fulfill the one-year resident requirement if a voucher is issued and they wish to move to the Town of Wilton.
