Title: Cornerstone Community Housing: Providing Affordable Housing and Promoting Economic Independence Heading 1: Our Mission At Cornerstone Community Housing, our mission is to construct high-quality, affordable housing options for individuals with limited incomes. We are dedicated to creating opportunities for personal growth and fostering economic independence among our residents. Heading 2: Affordable Housing Options Currently, all of our properties have waiting lists as we strive to accommodate the housing needs of our community. Our rental rates vary based on the size of the unit (ranging from studios to 3 bedrooms), the number of individuals in the household, and their income levels. Heading 3: Unique Rent Structure Unlike traditional housing programs, our tax credit rent system is determined by the average income of the county or local area. Referred to as the "area median gross income" (AMGI), this average is updated annually by HUD. While your actual income is a factor in determining eligibility for a low-income apartment in a tax credit property, the amount of rent you pay is not solely based on your income. Heading 4: Income Requirements In order to qualify for a low-income apartment at Cornerstone, it is essential to have sufficient income to cover your rent payments, regardless of its source. We consider all types of income when evaluating eligibility for our housing options. Heading 5: Section 8 Voucher Acceptance We are pleased to announce that Cornerstone happily accepts Section 8 Vouchers, providing further opportunities for individuals in need of affordable housing. Please Note: The above information is subject to change and is meant to provide a general overview of the housing options and services offered by Cornerstone Community Housing. For detailed information regarding income eligibility and to inquire about available units, please contact our office.
