Sun Tower's tenant selection policy adheres to the guidelines set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. We prioritize equality and do not discriminate based on race, color, sex, creed, disability, or national origin. Qualification: To qualify for residency, tenants must be 62 years of age or older and meet the maximum income limits set by Sun Tower. For a single person, the maximum income limit is $23,640, while for couples it is $27,000. Tenant Assignments: At Sun Tower, we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis for tenant assignments. Applicants may choose to be on the studio apartment list or the one-bedroom apartment list, or both. When a vacancy arises, we offer it to the applicant accordingly. If there are no current vacancies, we place the application on our waiting list in the order of its receipt. Applicants will be removed from the waiting list if they accept an apartment, withdraw their application, find alternative suitable housing, become ineligible, or pass away.
